DEA Defense – Ngoy Kidyanyama Théophile 2026
The GeoRes4Dev project is proud to announce the DEA defense of Ngoy Kidyanyama Théophile, recipient of a scholarship from the program.
His research, entitled:
“Metal Trace Elements in Soils and Surface Waters of the City of Likasi and Surroundings: Discriminating Between Geological Heritage and Mining Activities in Katanga”,
is part of a scientific effort to better understand the origin and distribution of metal contamination in the mining environments of Katanga, distinguishing natural influences from impacts related to extractive activities.
The defense took place in May 2026 at the University of Lubumbashi.
We sincerely thank the supervisors and advisors for their guidance and commitment throughout this work.
Our warmest congratulations to Ngoy Kidyanyama Théophile for this great achievement and for the journey accomplished.
